L'Oiseau bleu
Thanks to the magical gift of the Fairy, children saw the souls of all things, phenomena and creations of nature. Together they go in search of the mysterious Blue Bird. Their journey is a story about the difficult path of knowledge, about curiosity, which is stronger than fear, and about the inevitable triumph of the mind and goodness.

For me, the Blue Bird is a symbol of a free mind and happiness, which is useless to look for, because, having acquired a far-fetched secret, it immediately dies.

My favorite scene from the play and film is "Land of Memory", when children come to visit their dead grandparents. I can't read these lines without crying, it's an incredibly powerful and touching scene. About how important it is to keep warm memories, sometimes to return to them, but remember that you can only live in the present.

It was from this scene that my development of the play "The Blue Bird" began, and a little later, when I was printing out my scanned sketch, a faulty printer accidentally gave me an idea for a color solution.
Here it is - this "unsuccessfully" printed sketch, however, instead of color, the printer gave me an interesting gradient. And I decided to use different gradients as a background for each scene.
For the sketches, I used a ballpoint pen. The final versions are made in gouache and watercolor pencils
